Guys,

I need help of senior Pakwheels users related to ECU reprogramming. Actually we have replaced the ECU with the same part number and now need to reprogram it for immobilizer.

Please see the attached snapshot of ECU and let me know if someone can help me regarding that.

Take out the ECU, install it again. After 30 minutes, short out OBD, and 30 minutes later, the ECU will be programmed to your car. Immobilizer will be programmed, it will start the car. Now, the VIN number is next step, you will still have to write the VIN, because you will not pass the DEQ.

There are two ways to go about it:

1) Either reprogram the ECU. Its a complex job and takes more than average techie to do that. The program inside the ECU is encrypted (for copyright purpose because your car is your property but it's software is not, so the manufacturers encrypt it).

2) Or, physically swap the contents of original program. Do you have the original ECU still with you? You need to take out its memory IC and solder it in the new ECU.

Thanks brother for the guidelines, I have the original ECU and newly purchased as well.
I have tried different so called techie for ECU reprogramming but did not get any result so far.

If you know some guy who can do the job, please let me know and please share your contact number, I need your further guidelines.

too late reply, ECU is located under the dashboard, Front passenger side, you can reach to that by disassembling the dashboard glove box

They tried for #1 but failed then they had fixed it using #2 solution.

Working just fine since last 1 year.
