Nissan Sunny Engine?

I am interested in 2006 Sunny 1.3.
People told me its engine is not reliable and heats up.
Is there any such problem with Sunny.

How do you rate this car ?

Absolutely, no doubt about the car. It is good option among other 1.3L cars. The person, who told you about engine heat up thing, is extremely deserves for the slap on his face.

That guy had experience of previous Sunny diesel model.
He and some other fellows told me that after 100K you'll definitely have to overhaul the engine. Whereas in Corolla and Civic you dont need to overhaul.

Do you have this car and how much you have driven it ?

I used a NIssan CD17 engine for 217000 Kms without a problema nd my mamoo is still using it. we bought it used froms econd hand market. That expereinced person of yours does not know that some cars in this world require air bleeding from cooling system in order to make them work properly.

Its a sad reality about Pakistani mechanics. Passing fatwas is very easy but learning a few things is very difficult for sure.

Its all nonsense. Nissan is a reliable or durable as any rival company to name Honda and Toyota specificaly.

The 1.3L version of nissan sunny is available in petrol engine. So, i don't think so you will need to overhaul it in near future.
Actually a friend of mine has 1.3L. Interior of 1.3L and 1.6L are the same in WxLxH. Space is also very decent.

meri bhi kuch aisi hi feelings hain pakistani mechanics ke baray mein.
today i took my charade to mechanic for brake adjustment, when he opened the rear hub he told me it has no adjusters. i asked him if it has no adjust how did it get fit and how does it stop on applying brakes. he spent much time in finding its adjust later i showed him its of different size and at different place.
no doubt charade has variety but mechanics r poor in knowledge

Nissan's engines are (one of) best engines in market, since 90s...! Buying one of those car, is going to be your great decision...!

well i am also a Nissan Driver as well as Nissan lover !!
well...agreed with Spectra...a much good car having bad luck in local mechanics hand....

I have worked with Nissan for 23 years.
Nissan engines are best compared to any
Japanese engine.
I would still love to have a sunny.

Hi,

I am owner of Nissan Sunny 98 Model.

It was 2.0D (Diesel) initially when i brought it.

Spectra is very right, almost just .005% of pakistani mechanics knows about 'what is air bleeding' hence....... practically there's 1-mechanic/city in our country to understand nissan diesel engine technology.
I would recommend 'NOT TO BUY 2.0D NISSAN'
although you can get 2.0D nissan engine from bilal gunj in just 20,000 rupees. but still when you've got better options (1.3L Petrol) don't go for other options.

Nissan is very good car while comparing with quality of Mr. Rolla & Mr. Honda. cars in pakistan.

1.3Ltr Petrol version 1.6Ltr Petrol version are very durable comfortable etc. etc.

I converted mine nissan 1.5 or (1.6, i don't know abt the CCs because no mechanic told me the right capacity, even seller in bilal gunj don't know abt it.) anyhow.

Currently I am enjoying driving my car on petrol (gives me 9km/ltr to 10km/ltr in city while driving at higher RPMs) it's excellent 0to100km/10sec.

Please note that there's very low resale price of nissan. don't buy it if you intend to sell it before 5-years.

If I would be at your place, I might have gone for Toyota XE (imported 1) ................. Market + Luxuary + Quality in same price.

@SPECTRA: what do you suggest, while comparing Toyota XE (Imported) from Alta ....... or Nissan Sunny 1.3 brand new?

Ali bhai GA series mein bohat sare engine aae hain
GA13,GA14,GA15 and GA16...
well commonly Sunnys mein GA13 ya GA14 aae hain
GA15DS ones came in used engines..they are carb not Efi...
GA16's are very rear here...
so i think GA14 ya GA15 u have...check for engine code.....u will know
GA14 is 1.4L whereas GA15 is 1.5L....
GA16 maybe u have but they are very rear........!engine code can help u find out whats actually inn...

Air bleeding was done to get perfect engine temperature and perfect new-kinda engine sound in Diesel versions only.

Am i right spectra?

........SER....... bhai engine code kahan say pata chalay ga....... only engine number is written on engine not the code.
