The new Sunny features an advanced DOHC 1.6-litre 4-cylinder CVTC (Continuous Valve Timing Control) engine, rated at 116 horsepower and 16.4kg-m of torque, mated to either a four-speed automatic with step gate-type shifter or a five-speed manual transmission, a redesigned modern interior featuring high-quality feel, and a completely new exterior that presents a modern look through integrated fog lights, two-bulb headlights and large, mesh-type air intake front bumper.
The Sunny also features a host of safety features such as suspension which combines front MacPherson struts with rear multi-link beam for driving stability and ride comfort on any road surface. Anti-lock braking with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and driver and passenger air bags with seat belt pre-tensioner with load limiter is also available.
A sneak preview was held for Middle East fleet customers on June 28th in Dubai, where they were able to experience the new Sunny for the first time. The new Sunny was well received and admired for its new design and added features, and several orders were recorded, ensuring that the new Sunny will be available to the public soon.
