No Cabin Air Filter in Wegon R

Assalamualaikum,
I have 2016 model WegonR and I was shocked to know that there is no cabin air filter in WegonR. I am not sure if they are providing it in new models. Therefore, turning on the fan would bring in polluted air from outside. So there is no benefit of closing the windows and turning on the fan. During air conditioner part replacement (under warranty) I was told that there is space/place available for the cabin air filter, and a small alteration will be made and cabin air filter of swift could be used.
I would like to know if someone has done this alteration in his WegonR to have cabin air filter installed?

pak-suzuki is known to cheapout like this. in PKDM liana, filter tray and filter itself was not provided. its a 5 min DIY to install it though. buy a filter tray from used parts market and install it yourself. there is an area on AC blower housing that need to be cut and the filter tray sits there. any AC guy can do it for you if youre not a DIY guy. Suzuki 3s will only charge you more money than open market.

no sir you are wrong. you get what you pay for, in my 2018 cultus it has a cabin air filter pre installed behind glove box

Cabin filter can be installed in a few minutes, even as a DIY & has a nominal cost. It doesn’t come factory fitted on similar model even in India & Indonesia.

To like or dislike of shape of a car is a matter of personal choice. I was on a visit to Pakistan & wanted a brand new reliable car & opted for Suzuki Wagon r over the new Suzuki Cultus ( aka Celerio abroad) because its rear shape is ugly like hell & it’s driving position is very low like any other small hatch back on the road.

Who told you about that? Only models till 2014 end were deprived of cabin filter, after that all of them have it.

I have recently got mine WagonR and I was shocked too because for me it should be criminal offense to cheapen out of this crucial feature. Because to clean the evaporator mechanic has to open the dashboard and before that open the gas pipes meaning you loose the original gas which is potentially damaging to environment. Even Honda cars don't have air cabin filter installed (though they do provide tray for it). Instead of educating public they are just shoving parts and labor down the customers throat. Because of the monopoly car companies have gotten few screws loose in their brains.

Is cabin filter tray a different part to have installed before installing the cabin filter? Or we just need to cut the front of cabin filter housing (behind glove box) and insert Suzuki Swift cabin filter (my question is regarding Wegon R)

After cutting open the plastic blank the empty space that you see has pre built plastic mounts so that you can simply insert suzuki swifts' cabin filter.
It is kind of like simply inserting a cassette in a cassette player
