i have personal experience with my mehran,which was well kept, and it consumed more petrol then suzuki swift 1.3L. I sold mehran after that.And now only have swift.This shows that mehran and similarly Alto consumes more petrol then latest engines .
Modren fuel injected cars with advance electronics have far better fuel effiency that the junk called Mehran..and they could also sell at a much better price..the only reason why 1970 era Mehran sells at 2012 prices is government supported bearucracy in the name of national employment. We should be making electric vehicles by now not some junk with pepsi can engine.
