No Sui Gas Connection at my new House

I have just constructed my house near DHA EME Sector (Iqbal Avenue Phase-3, on the road towards Bahria Town) and have no gas connection, and no hope for a connection for next 6 months atleast, as the Winter is approaching. I want to know if there are any LPG Cylinder suppliers home service in Lahore (for residential customers), so that I can just call them and order a Cylinder/Refill when I need one. The cylinder can be a full sized one so that refilling is not very frequent. Also, can I connect the LPG Cylinder to the main gas line of my house? So that I dont have to bother for keeping separate cylinders for two portions?

Rishawat ka raj hai for gas meters.One of my friend had same issue in some housing society for 8 months so one day he stoppled a passing by sui gas van and asked "bhai sahab kia khidmat karain gas meter lagana hai" the sui gas guy replied "50,000rs" and second day gas meter was being installed.You will even not get a gas meter in DHA's.The cylinders you can buy and use instead. If you have connections, you can get gas connection.Otherwise, use alternate sources of energy like solar panels to fulfill your energy needs.

Rishawat ka raj hai for gas meters.One of my friend had same issue in some housing society for 8 months so one day he stoppled a passing by sui gas van and asked "bhai sahab kia khidmat karain gas meter lagana hai" the sui gas guy replied "50,000rs" and second day gas meter was being installed.You will even not get a gas meter in DHA's.The cylinders you can buy and use instead. Not really these days it is really hard to get a gas connection, i my self have paid 30k(official quick installation fee) but still no sign of connection and if one gets it by bribing they install connection illegally and in files it is on someone else name whos name was next on official list.

please note lpg operated geaser heaters and cooking range are different from sui gas ones
jet size varies in both

will you buy everything operable on lpg for house
then later throw it out and get everything operable on natural gas ?

first figure that out

second just go to commerical seller of lpg cylinder nearest to ur home and mk a deal that they send a suzuki with full cylinder and take empty one back when needed

how far is the Nearest Gas connection from your house in either direction. - if it is over 500 meters away the non-availability is plausible excuse from SNGPL due to development work required by the locality developer. If you are in DHA time to kick awake the administrator through your lawyer.

. if it is in 100 meter access in either direction within your street, make a case and hire a lawyer. DHA & other housing scheme developers are hand in glove with SNGPL to play possible efforts to irritate public, ultimately switch for LPG which is sold by private gas providers.

How did you obtained completion certificate to occupy house when the Utility as in GAS is not connected, it is duty of DHA to provide SNGPL with infrastructure upto each lane for onward connectivity to the user upon construction. SNGPL charge hefty amount for new connection.

DHA sectors / phases with no infrastructer water lines, gas, power lines does get NOC for construction from DHA office.

I live near your area (Eden Canal), Sui gas office is exactly beside Rabbani Hospital! they installed the meter after 3.5 years in our society! lol (Moved in 2005, got the connection in mid june-july 2008) there are several gas cylinder shops in Multan road towards yateem Khana, u can visit them and ask about delivery system but I wont recommend that due to fraud in quantity! this happened several times with me so had to check the filling of cylinder myself. its tough to put the cylinder in car n take it shop and vice versa!

and to save more gas and avoid frequent replacement or refill, i recommend instant geysers (6-10k depending on size) which consumes less energy and boiling water, large size local geyser will consume lots of time n energy! once u have proper connection then u can use it.

Try installing a gas meter in a new house in DHA-2 Islamabad and you will know what kind of excuses SNGPL come up with. They don't care even if your whole street has gas connections and you are only one without.

I don't live in DHA. My house is in Iqbal Avenue, on bahria town road. For gas connection, i tried hard, tried to use one of my references as well, but no success. I am willing to pay the rishwat as well, bcoz you can't do anything in this country without i, so if anybody has any jugaar, it would be very helpful. I submitted application one year ago, and still there is no hope for a gas connection legally till next 2 years, as the Sui gas office staff is saying. In my society, sui gas line is from past 3-4 years. My neighbor has gas connection as well, still I cannot have one

sir respectfully i can only say .. GAS bohat hai .. political issues are manipulated to keep public stuck up in misery and rulers do as they please.

sir here are some facts for your reference and clarity.

gas from PK sources: 1100 MMCFD
LNG import: 300 MMCFD

demand: 3000 MMCFD

lahore ma gas connection ki urgent fee ka bad kya process ha and kitna time lagta ha? and where to submit this fee as I head there are few banks if you submit their than u might have chances to get connection earlier????

DHA city over super Highway Karachi, Riaz Malik Housing projects, Saad Rafiq Housing localities across Punjab are all getting gas connections on priorities.

The artificial shortage of Natural Gas is political issue, gas wells in sindh are plugged not connected to main network to give boost for LNG business

There is not such thing as getting a quick gas connection officially
you have to wait 1 year minimum

or pay heavily to some "tout" to get it done in a weeks time

I dont know if scheme exists now but it was 30,000 fee but again there is no guarantee how quick the process would be.
