Noisy engine in Vitz 2006

hi guys,

i bought a Vitz 2006 1.0 few months back. as per the mechanics its engine was weak. therefore i decided to swap it with 1.3 (2SZ). The mechanic told me that the 1.3 would be more economical and smooth etc. but now once i have swapped the engine its a different story :worried, the engine is really noisy, though the pick is awesome, but as you push the pedal it gets more noisy and the fuel average is never over 12 not even on motorways.

an expert opinion would be highly regarded.

Before going to swap with 1.3 make sure you do compression testing and leak down test on your existing car engine to know the health of your current engine.

Define noisy.... Is it the main bearing now like when you are revving hard and u hear karkarkar sound? Or is it just noisy?

its just noisy like when you press the pedal its give sound of a bigger car whereas i believe vitz engine should not be like this, is it?

Salams,
I was looking vitz and now 2 models cane across.
2010 / 2013 (2nd gen) 73k done little touch ups color white demand rs1140k.
2012 / 2016 (3rd gen) 60k done little touch ups mostly bumpers color sky blue demand rs1300k.
Can u please tell me are these prices justified? If no, then what should be an ideal price?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
First of all i wud like to mention that all of my previous cars were manual transmission and suzuki. So i dont have much info on auto transmission.
secondly, can u please explain abt sensors and CAT stands for what?
Thirdly, what if service history is not avilable? I must say that all these cars are avilable at car dealer...and the guy is known to me....

thanks for the detailed msg. here are my replies below in bold text.
sure sure
1.check the battery condition ok i will check
2 .check the engine oil condition and level and also sludge if any and also if leakage and seepage.ok will check
3.check the air filter dont know if the dealer will allow to check
4.check the transmission oil and level leakage and seepage.no idea about this i mean how to check
5. check the coolant level must be clear.ok i will by the way which color of coolant being used in vitz?
6. check the engine condition burning smell noise vibration missing abnormal idle speed or anything else.that would be checked by the mechanic as i m not very much expert in this
7.check all the sensors through the scanner.if these sensors need to checked through scanner then i would need to bring the car at the place where all facilities are available, as road side mechanics are unable to check through scanner... i believe
8. check the catalytic convertor a device for exhaust emissions control device.again no idea
9 check the car body lining paint match rust etc.ok i will check
10 interior ok
11 tires ok
12. if no service history then check through the good service center or
pakwheels car sure what is the procedure? and try to make a list for example tires and battery
subtract the flat 25000PKR through the price and so on ok thanks brother - i will keep you posted
