As a rule of thumb, I think everything "Stock" is best for any vehicle, because a vehicle is designed and tested on this (Stock Tyres, Battery, Plugs, Filters, etc.) And everything aftermarket / mod; no doubt however Excellent that may be or seem, is extremely harmful for vehicle.
Let's take an example. Some people change plugs and install high performance plugs in Good Local Cars, which may have been designed for performance Cars and their Engines, like Ferrari, etc.
For some small interval of time, one may feel pleasure, everything may seem smooth and drive may feel as if one is driving some space shuttle.
But after some time, engine may get severally damaged / blown out, because it has never been designed and tested for that high performance plugs.
I am of the opinion that stock Tyres should also never be changed, unless / until they complete their life, like some people change Eurostar Tyres in brand new cars immediately after the purchase.
Even after completion of their life, new Tyres to be installed should be of the same specifications as were the stock OEM Tyres.
