So today I went to see the new DVD/GPS-Navigation for 8th Gen Civic that was imported by the guy who deals with the audio stuff of my cars. I got a couple of tiny things done on my car in the meanwhile. So first, lets look at the GPS Navigation/DVD etc.

Now, this system looked better than the Rockmars one and much closer to the OEM one. Details of this unit would be discussed in the Viper Thread (https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/members-member-rides/162582-new-stuff-2011-civic-vti-viper-164) shortly.

p.s. It was for around 45000/- PKR :-$:-#

I had to get an Aux cable attached to the stock player of my car, so I asked the electrician to do it for me. First I thought to do it myself by looking at Zunny Bhai's thread, but then today wasn't a good day for me, so I thought I shall leave it.

So for the first time, the center console was being opened! :o

While the electrician was busy in opening the console, I noticed something which was pinching my eyes since long...

The gear rod leather cover was damaged due to some reason that the previous owner might be able to explain.

I wasn't liking it at all...

So I thought, I shall get it changed.

I went for the cloth that was matching with the seat covers.

The cutting...

It hardly took 30 minutes, but the time consumed was worth it...

Little effort for the much needed cleanliness.

In the meanwhile, aux cable was also connected.

Sorry I couldn't cover the entire procedure as I was busy in making a deal with a guy who wanted to exchange his OEM 6-CD Changer with the DVD/Navigation system. I was interested in his CD Changer so that my steering controls could work.

I had this mp5 (I suppose this is what it's called :S) with me to check the aux cable.

It was working perfectly!

I have another mp5 with a much larger screen. Will attach it with the aux and see whether it serves the purpose...

A couple of other things that happened to her include...

Smoked head lights (desi style :P)

Got them tinted with the similar sticker that I used to un-rice Corolla's rear light.

I was somewhat double minded as sometimes it looked hot, sometimes it looked odd.

The visibility on the road was also reduced which was a good enough reason for me to remove the tints. So, now they are gone...
