Normally at what speed ones travel in dha karachi

hi motorists, i am carrying out a survey on road safety. i require information as to what speed one normally travels especially on the roads in dha karachi.

most of dha roads have a speed limit of 60km/hr

carefull people travel less than that..
hotblooded people travel twice of that

DHA people are insane to on kh-e-shebaz theve made signals and roundabouts then y the turns in the middle of the road?

Signals open for 10 seconds, cars dont move till the seconds reach 4

^^ the above is because they run on CNG and they are usually texting (SMSing) their cheating girl freinds while sitting on traffic lights

I hate DHA drivers - and have had quite rough moments with them occassionally

within city, i prefer between 60-80km/h, in DHA though, you have to keep your eyes wide open.. for about 2 and a half years my office was in DHA VI, Kh-e-Hafiz.. people love to race on that track too.. Kh-e-Shehbaz is another tempting track for speedsters, i have some alarming experiences but thank God never involved in any hit

I live on between kh-e-badar and hilal, for 12 yrs now driving since 3-4 years i always thot people dont drive carefully, but while coming home from phase 2, 17th Lane, crosed badban, half way bahria, all a-okay, a civic wala gave indicator at the last moment honked ""agge bero mje murna hai" i moved a lil agge BANG!!!!!!!! i biker outa no where over tuk that civic hit my car!!!!! bang one side 2 doors dhishum!!!!

The Civic wala fled away....

People are fond of sudden braking, making turns without indicators, heavy traffic with small traffic, and now sone pe suhaga, the rain watter drains in the middle of the roads have added to misserys of drivers.

These are socital roads at max the speed of 40-60 is enuff on these roads.

While people here fly there cars.

The funiest part is they show u dippers, ""meire baap ki road hai ruk jao pehle mein jaunga" where as dippers are worldwide show to give way !!!!

@Op please mention that DHA should either take services of there own forces or implement traffic police...

Khayaban-e-shamsheer from shaheen to 26th street is also been taken as another F1 track by young motorists in DHA.

well we have been living in clifton for like 10 yrs and lately have shifted to defence just behind Khayaban-e-shahbaz and i must say the first signal u reach after crossing barclays n going towards 26th street is of no use, i mean green light pe gariyan kam move kerti hain aur red light pe koi idher se tou koi udher se and at night this shahbaz becomes a quater mile it was yesturday when i went out for a chakkar in my car and saw some ppl litteraly racing on that road. they(DHA) shud do somthing abt it as that road is kinda smooth and has only two lanes at each side so does look like a quater mile.

and worst of all shahbaz has trees in b/w the two sides so u donot see whats happing on the other side and suddenly a pedestrian come in front of u.

Thanks gudness Zamzama and Khadamarket has been made one way using thoose tire cutters, is qoum ka yei ilaaj hai i wish they do the same to phase 4 too

Speed mein do sou vee te chalaan. No speed limits enforced on city streets anywhere in Pakistan. There is a need to do so!

when I see these brash drivers on residential streets, riced cars being driven by underage pigs - I dont understand how their mind works, when I was in that age I had some powerful cars under my butt. But never sped them in residential places.

When I hear a news or see a clipping of some driver dying etc because of street racing - I dont feel sorry at all, infact I would love to go to their houses and tell their mourning loved ones that the chap deserved to die, He did not cherish the one gift of God thats irreplaceable "LIFE"
