Hello there..

I would like to have your suggestions regarding Nozzle and diesel service..

Please advise best place to get it done.. karachi based..

Got the pump and nozzles serviced. The 2Lte is now a flying rocket. . Saleem diesel service.... excellent gentleman and light on pocket..

No brother there is no reason. Saleem is the old and proven name in servicing pumps and nozzles. .

he doesnt follow service standard - not even one bit.

ask him what he set the volume of the pump to? and what rpm did he limit the governor to, or if he adjusted the idle spring capsule to compensate for idle speed load fluctuations. What was the internal pressure set to or how much the pump advances? I bet he didnt tell you anything either.

Ive seen these shops work - its really really shoddy.

source: - I used to repair cars in Pakistan and repaired a lot of mercedes benz diesels which were shagged/messed up by these shops, (benz dont tolerate lunacy like toyota does)

That's actually a big flaw here in Pakistan no one working on specs... That's the reason we only perform diesel purge treatment it adds up to little nozzle & pump treatment.. Reduces black smoke & improves response.

Allied Engineering in Karachi are doing diesel pump test and calibration (not cheap if your pump has suffered diesel pump ustaad work)

But you are right, 90% of customers dont want to pay for quality and want their diesel pump to be redone for the same amount as a cheap roadside lunch.

The ustaad pump walay then feed stories of "gaari ko aik raftaar pe nahi chalao, pump sahi nahi chalta, aik liter petrol mix karo" etc etc.

Yes and i personally have some knowledge of pump calibration since i started my automotive journey from Nissan cd20.

But whenever ive heard someone gone to any nozzle cleaning agency they've screwed the pump or nozzles and made the car too rich & alot of vibrations. Economy dropped & they're like thora chalao theek hojaegi.
