Number plate fading

Hi , I have been reading through previous threads regarding original number plates fading away etc but did not find conclusive answer , is it ok to use custom ones suppose black background and white text while keeping original one in car and is there a penalty or not for that? or can we get original one painted again using custom shops? thanks for your time and response.

Take a clear coat (lacquer) spray can and spray the plates with it

Dear. Always use original Number Plates. They are provided to you to use.

Use some protective paint / coating to keep the originality.

Get clear coat and spray on the plates after a month or two. Will keep it from fading.

Got accurate duplicates made and installed. Originals resting at home in pristine condition. The original plates had started to rust even at home (Islamabad plates). Painted the backsides and locked them at home. In 4 years of driving in Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Murree no one has stopped me. I might be breaking the law but there is no mechanism to stop licence plate damage, theft, discolouration etc.
