Number Plates not received even after 1 year of registration

Hi. It's been an year since my car was registered in Lahore. But I have not received the number plates. When I call the agent who did everything, he says number plates are not being printed anymore. However, my friend who got his car registered 3 months ago has received his number plates.

I have filed a complaint in excise too but they are not helping.

What should I do?

you can not do anything.

you can only file query with excise department every 3 months for the number plate availability with receipts of registration and payment made for number plates, for which you are still waiting. Legally you can not do anything, there will be on liner reply number plates of year xx series xx are not received from the manufacturer please wait.

the number plate scam has plenty of stake holders. the pair of tin plates which costs under Rs. 300 is charged twice sometimes 5 times heavy from customer while there is huge financial kick backs involved for obtaining number plate fabrication contracts.

You may try to engage a tout outside excise office pay some extra speed money to get number plates in hand.

Try to find a contact in excise, i know that sounds like the worst solution but this the only solution to your problem rn.
Find a contact in exicise motorbranch & pull some strings if you reallyyyyyyy want the original excise plate, otherwise there is no guarantee on when you will receive them.
