Number TC-143-A

Just saw a car whose number plate was TC-143-A. The car was toyota passo n looked brand new.. time was 3:00 am. City karachi.

Just curious which number series is this?

these numbers are given to the showroom owner's i guess so that they can move the vehicles from one place to another but this is Pakistan so cars run on these numbers for months. i might be wrong

U r right.
When i got mt vehicle i wad given number FSA 312-B.
It was a temporary number for using vehicle before registration.

TC stands for trade certificate,issued to showrooms for transportation of vehicles ONLY N ONLY during business hours,otherwise usage of these numbers is against law,as you stated 143-A this digits have record to which trader it is issued and alphabets from A onwards are kept in record by trader normally this particular series is issued by Sindh excise,in Rawalpindi it is RIP-393-A issued to a Suzuki dealership.The fee for this was 20,000/- per anum in Karachi two years ago.
