i don't know about karachi and Lahore, but in islamabad, CDA is planning to install some IP (wimax based) cameras at various locations for security purposes. Various Wimax service provider are interested in the solution and low level detailing is in progress.. Though no official stance exists at the moment but we're sure that it'll be deployed in near future... at least in the provencial capitals.....
