I would be needing some panels if I am to get a very correct factory look. Most VW owners would never know the difference even if I have the wrong panels.
I am in a fix as to what path I should take. Will discuss as we go along. I do have in mind the route which you took in your spitfire's case. Its an option.
An easy way out for me is to locate a 59 era parts car. But then first of all such a car is almost impossible to find and second if I do find one I would hate to kill another lovely bug.
