I can confirm that the 7450 does not have ASL; I've been through all settings and have not found the ASL toggle. The icon isn't displayed EVERY time I'm on the highway or motorway. On some trips, it isn't displayed at all. But when it is displayed, I'm usually on the motorway. And I do remember it coming on in islamabad once.

sir I suspect that it might be displayed when the pre receives traffic announce information. I'm not 100% sure, since I have no idea how that works, but maybe I've left some Traffic Announce function on. Do any local radio channels air traffic announce information? I've read that if TA (traffic announce) is toggled on and you're listening to any source apart from radio, and if the last radio station you were tuned into is airing traffic information, then the TA icon is displayed. This is why I suspect that this icon may indicate TA information being aired. The only radio station I listen to is cityfm89. Does anyone know if they include TA info in their broadcast?
Like I said, its not too much of an issue, its just that its sort of annoying that I don't know what that icon signifies. Thanks a lot for your replies. And please drop me a line here if any of you guys find out what it means after discussion with others, etc. Cheers folks.
