No idea about delo Arshad bhai. my mehru takes 3.5L engine oil. it has bigger oil chamber and also said in her manual. idk why it has bigger chamber.

my mehru takes 3.5L engine

Bahijan 1300cc engine requires 3.5L
whereas mehran takes 2.5L.
Max 2.75L

Yes I know. But it takes approx 3.5L, As Arshad bhai said his mehru was also taking 3.25L.

Ya, but tbh never tried caltex. always used shell for mehru. Once i tried ZIC in mehru and had really bad experience. switched back to shell. And its running absolutely fine, engine noise is little less now, and when push a gas pedal, it gives the feel like something is better than 20/50 oil grade now. lol

One thing I wana add. specially in winters at cold start. I was always thinking that the battery has the issue or self is not working fine. with this 10/40 grade oil. it get start now in second self. Which is the great achievement for me atleast. And starting of mehran in winters specially in northrn area with second try i guess its a blessing of ALLAH

@tintin1 bhai, need oil suggestion for honda city 2006. been using castrol magnetec 10w40, semi synthetic. should i move to shell 5w40, caltex 5w40 or total 9000 5w30 ??? all these are fully synthetics. but does it affect much this switching???

Agreed. People think that high viscosity oils reduce oil consumption so they are best for an engine. The reality is that while oil consumption may be reduced, the oil will not reach important engine parts and the engine will wear out faster. I recently drove a Corolla gli 50k driven with the usual 20w50 Toyota oil in it and you could literally hear the metal on metal contact in the engine on startup.

we have a Corolla 2010 Xli which is driven over 110k kms till now in Karachi - it was a MNC car and was fed with Toyota's 20/50 since the day it was born in Indus's factory. since after 95k km, we have shifted to Shell's red pack 20/50, till now, car is as silent as if engine is not started and we need to touch the bonnet to feel the started engine. not an issue, we overthink alot. oil must be genuine and not fake, it fulfills the purpose very well.

i was talking about the myth that with 20/50, engine will pre-maturely go dead and that 'metal to metal' loud sound etc.
