Brother ur behavior is inappropriate....
One can use thicker oil if engine is not in good shape.
In pakistan mostly mechanics dont know all engines and rebuild can cause trouble.

Dear brother nowhere on user manual of 1KR-FE engine it is mentioned about which oil to use.
I have read whole manual. There is only chart mentioned according to weather temperature.
Kindlu consult user manual.

If you are referring to me agreeing to what @capsat said about 20W50, yes sure I will agree to what is correct and sensible. That doesn't mean buttering, that simply means to have sensibility to vouch for truth and correct stuff.

What harm? Buildup of sludge inside engine since this particular vitz engine is not designed to use thick oil like 20W50.

Where do 'Pakistani conditions' conditions to this? Climate conditions have nothing to do with engine oil. 20W50 is used in Pakistan because it is recommended by manufacturer for specific engine models which are designed to use it.

Swapping a kabli engine is not solution to these issues. How does one know if the swapped engine was really great? The solution is to rebuild the existing engine with OEM parts.

If his car's engine burns oil and smokes, 20W50 is not the last option.

Nobody is criticising here, just sharing the correct advise.

I think you wanna say 0W-20 coz the manual of 1KRFE Boldly mention it along with others too .... 0w-30 is good but imo rarely available in Pak. Other options are 5W-20 again rare and than comes 5W-30 and 10w-30 commonly available as per manual.

By the way from his post i feel the game is over.... his engine is done....

Kabuli option is for engines with new parts not available.... i think among JDMs Vitz and Passo are the ones with new engine parts available so highly preferred to go for complete rebuild...

But some one having low budget can go for Kabuli but its 50/50 luck.

Where did I say that the video by PakWheels is fake? I said that the information provided by that particular person is not authentic. I didn't call it wrong either. So do not twist the words and do not use the words which I never uttered. By using such malpractice you are quoting me wrongly as well as associating such words with the name of PakWheels and demaging it's reputation.

Do not try to put words in my mouth in order to twist the context, you will not be successful since I know very well to recognise propaganda while it's being done (I practice as a communication professional and a counsellor).
So relax, these are childish things to do, grow up!

Now coming to the discussion here, I endorsed the suggestion by @capsat about usage of 20W50 in a week engine only for brief period before the rebuild (so as to keep the engine just good enough for repairing) and I still oppose the application of 20W50 in a week engine for long term use as a so-called remedy decided by mechanic ustaads out of their jahalaat.

What I said and endorsed is called 'context'. It is essential in an open mind and objective view unlike myopic view and narrow-minded way of at things from only a single practice.

I completely agree with you that we can trust totally on what is suggested by Zulfiqar. So two days ago he suggested to me to avoid mingling and arguing with stupid because there is no cure for stupid.

I trust his advise completely and choose to not mingle and argue with you and @qazi_capricorn

And by the way that advise was given in a thread about thick oil etc. So it makes even more sense here since you guys are arguing about thick oil.

You never said that you understood, you used the words 'fake video' . I never used those words and never meant anything like that if I have to expand on what I said earlier.
