OIl change frequency

Hi,

I have swift model 2014. I use total Quartz 5000 oil. I understand that this oil is good for 5000 KM.
Can Pakwheels members confirm the time duration within which the oil should be changed i.e 4, 6 or 9 months? Is there any such time duration recommended?

My car is usually driven less than 5000 KM in six months. Thank you.

OEM recommended interval for certain oil may also define replacement timeline e.g. Suzuki mentions 3 months, Total /Shell/Zic etc. recommend 6 months and for a few it may be more.

It should be changed even without a single km after pouring in as chemical compositions change.
