Hi all
Today, when I went to get my oil changed, my dipstick showed that there is very little oil left. The oil change guy went under the car and saw that the underside is very greasy and looks like an oil leak. So he suggested that I get this problem sorted before getting oil changed.
I went to two mechanics and they both said that the "main seal" needs replacing which requires the entire engine to be removed and gearbox disassembled. Cost of seal is 1500 and 5000 for labour. I am looking for expert opinions, do you think that the main seal needs replacing?
Attached are photos of the underside of the car. There also appears to be a crack but I am not 100% sure what it is.
