Read Carefully Before buying any oil.
OIL GUIDE
All info is based on my personal gained knowledge, please criticize me if i am wrong.
When you people buy oil considering the company is not the exact way of determining the oil quality,First thing you need to know is that which grade and viscosity the oil is for example in the picture shown below the liqui moly bottle has the grade ''API SL'' and the viscosity is 15w/50. API means American petroleum institution and SL is the grade and basically the the alphabet after S that is L (API S"L")determines the grade so we can say that it is of "L" or 12th grade (API SA, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I ,J ,K, L). Now for the gravity remember the higher the deference, the better the oil is(15w/50 so 50-15= 35) but not always, you also have to consider the weather.I live in Karachi so 15w/50 is perfect for my car. What is this "w" in 15w/50???? .This "w" stands for "winter" (in easy words: room temperature or when your car is cold or you have just started the engine after a long time like after lets say 12 hours...) Which means that when you start your car the oil will be of 15 viscosity (oil will be this because it quickly have to travel to the head and all the parts of the engine thereby preventing damage or friction) and when you drive like for after 5 kilometers your oil will reach 100*C temprature and at that point your oil viscosity will be 50 (which is good and recommended). What is MOS2(Molebdenum disulphide) in this oil??? It is an additive or added protection in your oil this thing deposits in your pistons and rings giving them very good lube and lowering their temperature and increasing the shoot and acceleration of your car.(This MOS2 is not recommended for wet clutch bikes like CD 70, CG 125 or GS 150 because it will slip the clutch and damage the clutch housing which is very expensive like Rs.7500 for CG 125).
Another thing i want to share is that people use car oils in their wet clutch bikes(CG125,CD 70,GS150) THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!
You need to put only and only "4t" oil in your bikes like Zic 4t10w/40 API SJ,Liqui Moly Racing/Street 20w/50 API SL 4t or Mobil 1 Racing 4t 10w/40 Fully Synthetic(explained below) 4t API SM
If you put any oil other than this than your bike's transmission and clutch is likely to get damaged.(even the one shown in the picture)
Fully Synthetic vs Synthetic vs Mineral
Not fully aware of this topic but I think it depends upon the engine health of your car/bike
If the engine is new and well cared then Fully Synthetic and Synthetic is used. If the Engine is older and have oil leakage problems than mineral is recommended.
For Karachi brothers if you need liqui moly you can get it from saddar opposite to gul plaza, bilal is the person i do not exactly know the name of shop, he has all the range of imported oils additives polishes and all the excellent liquid stuff. Prices are very reasonable and stuff is authentic. You can also get it from alhamd autos aisha manzil near muqqa chowrangi 90 zeeshan is the name of that guy he is a very nice person and he will advise you well
He has liqui moly repsol mobil1 and stuff like that....
This one is 15w/50 i was buying for my cousin's premio because he was impressed by the performance of my Baleno Sport 2004 (Driven only on Shell Petrol since 2004)
Slick here in the picture is just an Engine Treatment for oil eating cars, but the only perfect remedy is to overhaul the Engine.
