Since last engine oil 10W-30 change at 140300 there was an engine oil leak observed over the steering side upon floor in car porch. To ensure that amount of seepage is not serious issue a clean sheet of paper was spread under the engine overnight randomly, few drops were observed and ignored till now for being non threatening seepage.
This video also helped me for the task, which took under 5 hours.
Before the oil change at 145000+, seepage location was investigated and identified. The spot turned out to be from the oil pump side which was behind the timing chain cover. After removal of timing plastic cover, it was revealed that oil pump seal was leaky.
To remove the oil pump the engine oil sump needs to be removed, to remove engine sump cross member needs to be dislodged. When cross member was removed transmission - engine support mount was found fractured. silencer hanger was also fractured both items are replaced with New parts.
Also changed the gaskit for auto transmission which appeared to be shady. So the ATF fluid was also drained in an ATF bottle with some left over. After permatex was used on sump and bolted back to transmission, the same ATF reused. Few pictures are tell tale. There are not many pictures because of dirty hands, task was jointly conducted with Irshad 0300 223 7538 at his workshop Jamil Autos.
