Oil Recommendation

Friends,
I have Toyota Corolla 2010 XLI 120k driven on petrol , I have been changing Oil with ZIC X7 and ZIC X5 but I am not satisfied i want to switch to Toyota Petron Oil, please suggest which oil grade shall I use 10w30 or 20w50 according to 120k mileage driven.
Appreciate your suggestions.

If engine is in goof condition, there is no leakage and oil reduction then go for recommended oil that is 5w30.

Brother, go for any fully synthetic or semi synthetic 100% Genuine / Original engine oil with API rating of SN and Grade of 5w-40 or 5w-30 (if engine is 100% and in best condition), otherwise, 10w-40 at most.
Do not even think about pouring 20w-50 in your engine. It will almost kill it.
Instead of Toyota motor oil, I would personally recommend eneos, Mobil, Liqui Moly in Imported brands, and in local; Caltex.
Rest, all depends on you and ultimate choice will be yours.

Go for 5w50 toyota taglon.
I used same model gli for upto 220,000kms without any issues on 20w50.

Toyota Taglon 5W50 is as thick as 20W50 at engines optimal temperature, it will ruin this teeny tiny engine of xli, gli bhai.

Well... I cannot comment on all car assemblers / manufacturers, but as far as local cars are concerned, I think their user manuals are not updated on regular basis.
I owned FAW V2 previously, and as per company's user manual, the recommended oil grade was 10w-xx (like 30 or 40), but no way, it was 5w-xx.
Just imagine, can I pour 10w-30 or 10w-40 in a brand new 1300cc engine, made in 2017?
It will just kill it.
I think, all the brand new engines for cars, which are made / assembled now a days (and irrespective of generation / Technology or Toyota or Honda), recommended oil grade must be 5w-30 or 5w-40 at max.

My mistake, I wrote 10w-xx in my previous post due to not remembering correctly.
15w-40 per brand new engine ka buss phir... Khuda Hi Hafiz Hai.

I know bro, can you explain how it would kill it?
I used 20w50 and drove my car upto 220k kms and was sold to a friend, and now he sold the same car at 300k. No engine overhaul or anything till this much mileage. No seal leaks, or issue in fuel economy.

There won’t be a single issue. I’m using liqui moly leichtlauf high tech 5w40 in my 2016 corolla altis 1.8 cvti which is working flawlessly, and i’m switching to mobil1 5w50 at 60,000kms. You’ll be more than welcome to check my car’s engine noise, acceleration and fuel economy figures.

5w-30 Synthetic by Total is best one which i have experienced in Toyota Engines.
