Oil reduction despite assembly changed

Guys I have corolla 2003 gli. I recently changed head assembly back around Seven months before I had driven on new assembly around 30,000 km. it was reducing for the day one around 200 ml after driving 4000km but my mechanic said it's fine . But now it started consuming around 1 liter after 4500km. I use 10 40 zic oil. Now what should I do because engine guy says it's not our responsibility you need to contact mechanic in Multan please beware of this fraudulent guy name bilal in auto plaza I am soon going to do something legal proceeding for him. Please help what should I do now ?

You can't do much legally.

And that's the risk comes with all kabuli engines as you don't know the history of motor. But yes, there are some checks which you or your mechanic can do before finalizing the deal to get a rough idea about engine's health.

And i suggest you to replace engine oil after 3k kms

Kabuki engines are not brand new so oil consumption issues remains same in imported engines it's hard to find prestine condition engine of 1, 2 NZ

1 liter is not too much, I think in 4500 km. I am using 5w30 in my 1nz kabli and its reducing it to almost half way mark between max and min dots after 3500 kms. But no smoke or anything.
The oil should remain above the lower mark till your next oil change interval so not to worry. We cannot expect same performance from a Kabli engine as we expect from a new engine especially when Toyota's engines are prone to oil consumption.
Btw what it shows on dipstick after 1 liter of consumption?

why did you assume the engine lying in a scrapyard was good as new?

btw as mentioned above, 1 liter per 4500 kms is normal for a lot of engines. Did someone tell you that engines dont burn oil at all?

The maximum allowed oil consumption by Toyota is 1L in 2000 kms and your car is consuming 1L oil after 4500 kms which is normal use Genuine oil filter and use 10W-30 Caltex Havoline oil and replace it every 3k to 4k kms.

technically toyota still have the 1 litre per 1000 kms oil consumption benchmark considered as normal.

I have altis 1.8 32000 km driven but it does not consume any oil . I use full synthetic 0w-20 caltex. Change at 7 or 8000 km interval.

It's below F mark and slightly up from center point.
I think my mechanic was not capable of selecting good one. Btw you give big relief to me by sharing your experience.

It's totally normal. 2NZFE engine is supposed to burn 0.5Liter per 1000 KM. Surprising I know but here's a reference as well. See the "Oil system" section.

Also, 10W40 is popular with most ustads out there but it's not recommended for this engine. The recommended grades are as follows.

5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30

ALso people here has misconception that when they see oil slightly below the full mark, they will start panicking. Whereas between these 2 dots, at any level means you are good to go. But if it drops below the lower dot, then it will be catastrophic for engine.

Always get geniune oil. You can even go with 5w30 I think. Most companies are now officially on daraz store. Try that.

Don't switch to 20W50. As mentioned above your oil consumption comes under normal range. So don't need to worry

Never ever! He's treating it as an old-school carburetor engine (maybe). Per the guide above, the thickest we can do is 10W30 but again no need to worry, your engine's oil consumption is pretty normal.
