U r rite brother...but shell HX3 20 50 is for old carburator cars..
Corolla recommend SYNTHETIC engine oil..u can use thick synthetic oil grad in corolla f engine is old but not 20 50 cuz they r for old carburator cars..

is your engine working at normal temperature or is the temperature needle hibernating at C for a few years? What about the little PCV valve? is that working or has it clogged a long time ago?

sg is also good for the old suzuki engines with flat tappet rockers.

Can 10w40 suzuki genuine oil be used in cuore manual 2000 model?Please recommend oil for cuore 2000 model.

Sir its thermostat valve is already working well.
Because when I let the car idle for few minutes, then the fan starts automatically and after few moments the fan turns off.
That means thermostat valve is working perfectly. Right?

I recently bought a 2000 model cuore with its air conditioner belt removed & the meter doesn't show if engine is hot or not(the needle don't move like it is dead).reading upper posts it seems to me like my car radiator is direct too & there isn't thermostat.Should I get it installed & won't it do bad then good as engine is very old?

i have santro 2003 model, it has oil leakage problems. i have got the timing belt seal changed and the gear oil seal changed and also changed the head cover jan(not sure if this is correct spelling but this is how it is spoken by the mechanics).

Still there is oil leakage. any suggestions

Same guy will do the job who changed your crankshaft timing seals

if he was sensible enough, he would have done it. Besides i have visited him almost 5 to 6 times for the oil leakage. I have lost faith in his skills to diagnose oil leakage.

i guess i will go to sadatmasood11. he claims to be a santro expert. maybe he can help

Are you facing only oil reduction issue ?? Or white smoke also emits on high rpm.

how this could be..? your car reducing 1l after 2500km it mean your engine was not that weak or may you have some other problem .. i do have santro exec it reduces oil 1l after 1200km n every mech even dealer ships mechs said u hv 20w50 is last option .. if your car reduces oil under 20w50 it will surely decreases at 5w40... either it is fully synthetic or mineral coz it has lesser thickness.. n what for a guy like me i do have millage like 170000 n car reduces 1 ltr after every 1000 to 1200 should i go for that fully synthetic 5w40...kindly reply
