Oil tanker capacity?

Hi friends, I seriously need your help. Here in pakistan we usually see oil tankers around possibly carrying petrol, diesel etc. (for example PSO, SHELL etc) I wonder, if anyone of you knows about their capacity??? Thanks in advance for answere.

normally they r 48,000 liters..

and the new tank have capacity of 56,000 liters

saw them filling at OGDCL oil field.....

My daily consumption- 4 liters
No of days 1 tanker would last- 48,000/4= 12000 days!
Converting into years- 12000/365= 32.87 years!

Well, I dont think you will have tankers with 48000/56000 liters capacity. They would be too large.

Here in India normal tanker has three compartments with a capacity of 4000 ltrs for each. Some larger ones have capacity of 16000 liters.

Also consider a 48000 liters capacity tank will have laden waight of about 46.5 tonnes and would require a very large and powerful truck to pull it.

This is 16000 liters tanker.

the oil tankers here have compartments, a single tanker could be carrying petrol, diesel and T2(lube) and capacities vary according to the model (the heavily decorated ones and the sober looking newer models) we used to call them 'old vision' and 'new vision' at PSO.
