mechanics ....azab hain .... bande ka mun khula ka khula reh jata hai working dekh k jo haal kerte hain car ka... i m eye witness to a new corolla car light was not working ...mechanic cut the original wiring of brand new car and put his own wire crossing different part of engine bay i was shocked to see it and i was feeling very sorry for the guy who is not able to understand that what is happening to his car but he was happy ......LIGHT ON HO GAI

Japanese car manufacturers dont sell the service tools that align the door and lock to the car. (idiotic IMO) - you are best left with trial and error way of adjusting it.

For the plastic rain sheets, go to a book store and buy some plastic sheeting for registers/copies/books etc and cut the plastic to the required size - stick with the sticky rubber that A/C guys use to seal openings in body panels.

lets wait a moment and think about something.

there are a few cars being produced in Pakistan, all of them have this mastic compound on the doors to stick the sheets - That can only mean this is available locally - and if you can twist some ears hard enough you can actually find it. If you cannot find the compound then you can use the kork tape as syncview mentioned or go the very cheap and cheerful mercedes benz way and use "samad bond"

I agree with Saad suggestion that the door bubble seals become hard and pressed over the time and that produce hard and less dampening sound during closing the doors. I am also facing same problem with my Honda civic 2005. My car door locks and window glass channels are fine and got them washed and cleaned but same hard door closing sound is coming. I am also thinking to change old seals with new ones or kabli. Anybody know the price of new rubber seals from Honda Sugoi...
