AOA members can u plz tell me how to make my car door closing sound like new cars jese ghuti c awaz main dhuppp ki awaz ati ahi new car main ..... is it some type of seal or something else

you will need fresh door rubbers.. not possible to find... may be possible if its a honda... but others are not available new.

also after lots of closing opening, the door lock small pins start wearing out.... if you can replace all those pins the noise will be much less. or use very very very sticky grease...

heat the grease till it becomes runny... and then dip the lock assembly into it... then let it cool

Aoa brother,mery pass bhi honda city 2002 model ki hy uss k door ki awaz bhi aisi he ati hy,ziada tar mechanic door lock change kerny ka he kehty hyn,i think iss say prob solve ho sakti hy,lahore me bilala gunj aur fsd me sargodha road pe lock available ho sakty hyn baqi city ka mujhy nhi pata

mere baat maan le with closed eyes, aap try k liye aisa kare k door handle ko ji se bahir se door kulta hai os ko open position mai pakre and phir darwaza band kre and handle ko nai chorna, is se aap ko andaza ho jae ga k door close krne se awaz aate hai ya nai, em sure koi awaz nai aae ge. maine abhi tak dono cars mai door locks change ki hue hai, before changing kharab se awaz aatey thi, and after chnging buhat soft and dubbbbb type awaz aati hai.

Wasef i respect ur suggestion but my door do not make noise ...its door closed noise just changed to dhaz wo hawa ki gghutne ki awaz jo nee door mai ati hai wo ni ati albta i will try ur suggestiin

firstly make sure the door is aligned correctly to the body then make sure the door catch eye on the body is in perfect alignment with the latch in the door as it closes. If the latches are old and dusty remove and clean them and DO NOT apply any grease to them, there is a heavy wax that is used for this purpose and was applied at the factory (made from a blend of beeswax and parrafin wax) - The wax prevents dirt from sticking to the latch.

Clean out the door internals and apply some cavity wax in it - then seal it off with the plastic rain barrier sheet correctly and place the door card panel ensuring all clips and screws are nice n tight. Finally check the rubbers and if they are old n nasty then clean with some soap and water, dry thoroughly and apply unperfumed talcum powder to them to make them slide easier. If you want to make it sound like a mercedes benz S class door then stick some dynamat on the door skin to make it heavy and not resonate.

@xulfiqar .. how to check the alignment of door? is there anything(for reference) to see alignment is correct to that point ...

is latch the thing that fix in striker to lock the door ?

will my weatherstrip rubber will become smooth after washing and using talcum powder on it ? it is 14 years old

and plz tell me what is the material used to make plastic rain barrier sheet.... car dont have these plastic sheet between door i want to install these sheets again but dont know how to make the sheet nd what material is used to make them ... plz guide me ...

zulfiqar bhai is right... its wax you need... not grease... any thing that will not attract dirt grime etc..

Japanese car manufacturers dont sell the service tools that align the door and lock to the car. (idiotic IMO) - you are best left with trial and error way of adjusting it.

For the plastic rain sheets, go to a book store and buy some plastic sheeting for registers/copies/books etc and cut the plastic to the required size - stick with the sticky rubber that A/C guys use to seal openings in body panels.

mechanics ....azab hain .... bande ka mun khula ka khula reh jata hai working dekh k jo haal kerte hain car ka... i m eye witness to a new corolla car light was not working ...mechanic cut the original wiring of brand new car and put his own wire crossing different part of engine bay i was shocked to see it and i was feeling very sorry for the guy who is not able to understand that what is happening to his car but he was happy ......LIGHT ON HO GAI
