As we reached the top the clouds were getting darker and wind was blowing hard

we reached there in 2 hr 15 minutes (excluding road trek)
It was awsome weather at the top

We got mesmerized at the top. Each one of us was subdued due to the grandeur display of nature.. in front of us ... behind us...everywhere

In a very short time period, group members started finding their mojo back

Meeranjani was infront of us and behind it, there was a series of mountains...in rows..one behind another as visible from the top and below given photos

There were snow-capped mountains playing hide & seek due to the competition between sun and gorgeous clouds...so could not be captured

I have visited this year as well. Offcourse no dacoits there. Yes the 1st option via lalazar is better for families. You can start from Nathiagali or from Dunga Gali and finish vice versa. Both routes join at mid point and then one trek goes to mushkpuri.
As seen on the signboard, it says 90 minutes .. but with family, it would be between 2hrs - 2hrs:45 minutes.

It seemed that rain was in the air ...aur Kisi bhi waqt badlon ka Paemana labraiz ho sakta hai, so we decided to take food at 3:00 pm

Fresh soft grass, tinge of green.....We were so struck by the beauty of this place that we decided not to spoil the nature by throwing junk items. So we not only gathered our junk items(bottles, used paper cups, tissues, cigarette pieces, wrappers) in our kitties, but also collected these things over a large area at the top. However since it was start of season, so the velvet bed of Mushkpuri was quite virgin.
