yes mukspuri is a very green trek. its a good 1 day activity as well

@ Asifcae. Brother, Can we compare the difficulty level of this track with ARANG KEL TRACK from Kel, as I wanna try this track with Family. Thanks in advance for a perfect answer!

From where we have parked our vehicles, a small metaled road goes up in the jungle. Some consider it as part of the trek while some other consider the start of trek from where it ends. Since we were on foot and no one knew what kind of track it is.. we considered it as part of the trek.
We started normally rather hastily considering it just a road trek

But gradually it turned out to be quite tough on our bodies

Thus before reaching actual winding hilly trail, most of the group were somewhat handicapped. The people were out of gas and hardness of road had done their hamstrings.

Suggestion: if you start on foot from this road trek, walk slowly with intermittent stops here & there especially if you are not a hiker and this is your first time.

How long is the ROAD TREK before actual trek of 2.5km. Isn't recommended that u may cover this road trek by ur vehicle?

Although the question was posed to Asifcae but I couldn't help myself answering the question :). Sorry for that

I believe, it's not as difficult as Arrang Kel. In fact, I would recommend starting from Nathia gali instead of Dunga gali, if you want to attempt with family, as it's less steep from Nathia gali which will make it a little easier.

Agreed with "rehmank" that Arrang Kel is more difficult than Mukshpuri trek.

I think fellow pakwheelers have replied queries posted in previous postings.
So lets start from where i've left

We tried very hard to capture snowy mountains behind the mountains row... as you see from mushkpuri top towards little right to Meeranjani. We were considering them neelum valley mountains....some were saying they are kaghan valley mountains.

but just right side to Meeranjani was a dark cloud cover.... However between this next view

and the following view...

we finally managed to capture a snowy peak (as it was not visible on camera zoom..while with naked eye...there appears to be a huge mountain that is overshadowing all other mountains)

Wow...the grandeur of this mountain was awesome. Initially we guessed it as Nanga Parbat ... However when we seen it in picture; its shape look like "Musa ka Musalla"

Trivia for gurus...which mountain peak it is????

Iske darshan k thori dair baad qismat phir jagi aur thoda iske right pe yeh view nazar aya

Actually both parties are right about those snow covered peaks just on right of Miranjani as they make the boundary between Kaghan Valley and Azad Kashmir

If u have been to Paye then this view towards far right from shops area or just left of Makra peak is of the same peaks

On the other side of these mountains is Neelum Valley road.

If you ask our honest opinion, Even these words and pictures cannot express what were our feeling at that time
Nor they do the justice to what Mother Nature has bestowed upon us on that day

so these snowy walls belong to both kaghan & neelum valley
But what about that alone huge mountain? Take a closer look...isn't it Musa ka Musalla??

We postponed the trek to this Uncle Sargam ridge as the mood of weather was getting harsh. In case of rain, the trek as we knew by then would be too slippery especially for going downhill "Aur lightening ka bhi Darr tha" so we starting packing.

You are talking about a little left to "Uncle Sargam Ridge of Mushkpuri" and above
But this was just a little right to downhill of Meeranjani Mountain
while viewing from mushkpuri plain, consider us in center making a vertex; Meeranjani is on our left side and that Uncle Sargam Ridge of Mushkpuri (that you attached in your post) is on right to us, substending the same angle

No, it is not Shams Bari as Shams Bari view is near Uncle Sargram hehehe

Just my thought. The rock structure of both images appears to be different.

Another angle is that nanga parbat can be viewed, conditions allowed, from Miranjani Miranjani - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - which is in close proximity to Mukshpuri. It could may very well be, Nanga Parbat. Even if it's not stunning views on both images.
