Ordered few more things from AliExpress NOT locally available since I told you guys before I do not order things from outside of country that are available locally. Reasons:
1- Could buy from shops and take them home instantly compared to long delivery process when ordering things from outside of country.
2- Outwards flow of money is badly harming our economy. We are importing too much and exporting very little.
The things that I purchased recently include the following:
1- High/Low voltage circuit breaker.
It could be programmed for specific high / low voltages to make sure it cut off the supply if grid voltage goes high or low. It could also minutely protect against thunderstorm surge. Very useful product and should be installed in every house. Personally tested it by increasing and decreasing AC voltage and it worked. It starts recovery when there is a gap of 5 volts from defined voltage. The delay is of less than 25 seconds.
2- USB Discharge Test Resistor.
It could discharge at 4A max. You can test the capability of your phone charger, power bank and use it in DIY projects. My bad I did not order it with fan or any heat sink. Now the issue is if I use it for more than 15-20 seconds it get burning hot. I will install some heat sink to make sure resistors do not burn.
3- Order few of these Mixxar flashlights. Small in size but very bright. They got T6 LED. Unfortunately such flashlights are not locally available since I visited Hall Road Lahore and no one had them. I am using 18650 Lithium ion batteries in them but AAA batteries could also be used.
4- Ordered few of these power bank charger modules for DIY projects along with 18650 battery holders. I had spare old laptop batteries lying around since years. Ripped them open, took battery cells and made my own home made power banks. One of the old Lenovo laptop batteries had manufacturing date of 2011 and even today in 2018 all 6 Sanyo cells in it were still alive and had average 1500 mAh capacity. Charged them fully and none of them heated up. So they are safe to use even if they are tool old. The battery was lying in drawer unused since past 3-4 years and never charged during these years.
5- Ordered few more of these chargers with LCD to display voltage and current being drawn. Previously I ordered USAMS but they are charging way too much. So this time I ordered these Powstro ones. The quality is same but are relatively cheaper. I am sure the original manufacturer is same. They are just re-branded chargers being sold be different stores.
