all the above except no 7 have NOT BEEN delivered . all were ordered via AE ordinary shipment

calls to mail office lahore and islamabad have led to nothing, i might vist GPO lahore in person AND SMASH their heads my self. ass*******es

Has anyone else noticed this deceitful practice from Aliexpress where they hike price of a product if you keep it in the cart for a few days.
I had read Amazon used to cheat in its early days but it was caught, embarrassed and reprimanded so they stopped doing it. I always suspected Ali may be inclined on doing it but the shopaholic in me never bothered to check for years. The other day I decided otherwise. I had a dremel in cart for a few days and delivery address set to Saudi Arabia. I searched the same product on another phone that never had any such search. I was right in my suspicion as price came out different, higher for me since I had the product in cart and had recently been searching for dremels extensively.
To someone who thinks its due to shipping charges, no it is not as the product is shipped free to Saudi Arabia. The address actually keeps set to KSA due to some bug as every time I change it to Pakistan, it reverts back since I have had some products delivered there.
I have tagged their official handle on twitter but as expected, they haven't responded. I wanted you to be mindful of this cheap old school tactic eCommerce vendors try using cookies in browsers or their app directly. I will now wait for Daraz to do the same since they're now owned by AliBaba as well.

I have observed this thing on amazon a lot in last one year as i used to do shopping on amazon since one of my close relatives was there and whenever i left something in cart for even few hours its price would drastically increase

the sellers on Ali Express have different locations and also different IDs, it goes like this, you select an item also like its price, so buy it but the seller wont process it and on query seller will ask you to cancel the order selecting 'other reasons' also provide you link of same item on different location with slight price difference (upwards), they can make excuse that if you buy from that location, item will be shipped early and quick..

so you loose some money on getting refund...also have to pay more to get the item from other location...

legal scam...you cannot do much abt it besides stop using aliexpress...

Thank you for the feedback. @crossfirex I had read it in a book and thought Amazon had left this practice since it was highlighted over a decade back but it seems they're back to their old ways. No wonder Jeff Bezos is worth 4 years of Pakistan's exports.
One of my concerns is the takeover of Daraz by Aliexpress and possible arrival of Alipay. Alipay will suck a lot of the microcredit in circulation in current accounts and possibly lead to thinning of local banks' wealth which is not a good thing. We as consumers, as much as we like shopping at Aliexpress rarely realize how Pakistan suffers due to high import bills. As much as I hate paying 900 duty on a product I ordered for 7USD, I understand the purpose is largely to discourage us from sending out precious foreign exchange. The only sad aspect is 99% of products offered on Aliexpress are not available here, not locally manufactured at least. I hope the next 5 years can wake up the dead industry locally and we get to see quality products and some good local eCommerce brand. I actually am working with one such startup.

Recently I ordered 7-8 products on aliexpress.
all received but only 1 left. which is led light rod fit in place of halogen hanger rod.
I contacted the seller and he said its due to custom delay and extended the time.
now 12 days left from extended time. The tracking in temporarily unavailable.

i rate aliexpress 10/10. it is just 1st chance that i couldn't get the parcel. otherwise some time they give me others parcel too. lol
