My UBL wiz card will expire in Oct and UBL not renewing it.
What is your wiz card status.
What are best options regarding online payments on AE.
Should I open a dedicated account for AE shopping and keep only limited amount for shopping and when required, I should top up small amount so as to minimize risk of online fraud or account hecking
Or should I go for credit or master card.. which bank is good for credit or master card.

AE does not do online fraud .. big websites like these never do that .. koi private choti moti website ho aur wo bhi pakistani to i would never advise using card for payment . always use COD .

for online payment what i know is that std chartered debit card and i think meezan debit card also works. no need to get credit card or this wiz card.
also another benefit of using debit card .. the refund comes back easily to your account

Never EVER use debit cards for online shopping or even machine swiping.

AliExpress is legit, but you're in trouble big time if it gets hacked. And it happens to even bigger websites than AliExpress.

With debit card, if someone gets your details eg through a hacked site or POS terminal, your bank accounts money is GONE.

With credit card, you have full cover, and can always dispute it and get it back.

Not with debit card. It's gone once it's withdrawn.

So, always use credit cards for swiping or pin at merchants and also online shopping.

Bro then you have no idea how 3D secure works.

It doesn't matter at all and your funds can still be withdrawn. If you used a debit card, you're doomed.

For example you bought an item from a shop. It's up to them to offer and verify your purchase via 3d secure or not.

It's an optional measure for shops to verify it's you who is making the purchase. It's not a mandatory thing on cards to make a transaction.

It does not really save you from bad actors.

It can be used without it as well. Not all merchants implement 3d secure.

Also when using the card in machines , it's also not required.

I ordered 25 items on 28th August and so far only 10 are delivered which were usually cheap items for 4$ to 5$, rest of 15 items are still not delivered status for almost all 15 pending is picked from destination and somewhere in the air.

Keep a track of which postage comes sooner and which comes later. Also, keep extending purchase protection time. Transit time for parcels (after leaving china) is high these days due to limited flights and high volume.

atleast websites like aliexpress and amazon have very secure systems for "payment" .
i have been using it for almost 11 years now .
std chartered debit card tab bhi chalta tha jab yahan bohat kam cards online international sites pe chalte thay. meezan bank jab aya to us ke card ko use karne ke lye pehle call karni parti thi ke bhai aglay 1 hour ke liye international transactions open kar do .. aur har transaction pe wo 50 rs charge karte thay . ajeeb ... switched to std chartered and never looked back.

the only thing to remember is not to "save" the card information in your account. jab bhi checkout karo card details enter karo and "unselect" the save card option.

Don't know about others but Meezan Bank has implemented the 3D-OTP system in their VISA cards.

When I placed an order on AE with my silver VISA debit card, they sent me a prompt to input the passcode which I received moments later on both my phone and authorized email address.

Personally, I think it's almost foolproof. The hackers will not only need your debit card number and CVV code, but also either your authorized email address + password or access to your SIM card. The chances of that happening are 1 in a million!

I got my package after I got refund. I messaged seller that I would like to pay you your money as I found the item after four months.

He asked me to make a purchase and ping him so he will not send the product. I did the same and informed him and also pressed order received.

But now he told me that he missed my message and shipped the item anyways and ask me not to worry about it anymore.

I wanted to buy Samsung Note 8 AMOLED panel. It is costing 26000 from AliExpress. In Pakistan its 28000 but neither option feels feasible. But 2 purple lines on screen are irritating.

May be in books, but Pak Custom has charged duty on even a 8 dollars item in my case it was just a mini wireless keyboard and mouse and a 2000 rupees dash cam.
