Opinion needed! Restoration of 70 cc bike

Hi there all!
My uncle has a bike (70 cc). It is in really bad shape and the mechanic says it needs complete engine overhaul (ring, pistons and shaft replacement). Also the mud guards are rusting and all light fixtures (except headlight) and speedometer are out of order.

Should I advise him to restore it or buy a new one?
The total cost of repair is 8000 as quoted by mechanic. Is it worth it?

If it's going to done by a good mechanic then it's worthy otherwise ask them to get a new one.

As told by brother Hassan it's worthy if done by good mechanic.
My friend completely restored CD-70 2004 model and expenses ocured on this bike is 14000 to 15000. Following work done.

Both mud guards are new.
Complete engine overhall.
Electric wiring is new.
Head light is new.
Tires are new.
Battery is new.
Preparation of complete seat alongwith new cover.
Tanki and side covers painted as per 2004 model.
Change of new chan etc.

Bike looking good but after some days engines seals are leaked and current problems not gone.

If your model is before 2005, no need of restoration.

My suggestion is if money is not problem
Buy new and enjoy.
as new is new.
