Now I know already that people dont buy BMWs etc to consider fuel average etc and they are white elephants and what not.
A friend is kind of interested in buying a BMW 3 Series E46 within a price range of 17K maybe a LITTLE more(this idea is based on Pakwheels used cars section)
What do experts or owners of this car have to say about it?
I will put a few questions about it and I hope someone can answer them for me. There is no time limit as he is not in a hurry to buy a car yet.
- Now what price would you think is good for a good condition trouble free 3 Series of the mentioned model?(Preferably Lahore or maybe Islamabad registered)
- Parts and service, would that be too expensive or too rare to find? (too much trouble maintaining one? importing parts too often? anything?)
- Fuel consumption? (expecting jokes cracked at me for this but is it actually no more than 6 km/l even for a 1.8L engine?)
- Any other suggestion? anything that you think I need to know?
We don't have any BMW owner that we know so we are depending on you guys, hope I get more positive response than just off topic random discussions.
he wont mind a pre facelift model either, and no engine is a final choice. it may be 1.8 2.0 or 2.2 anything. depending on what are the answers to the above mentioned questions.
