Opinion on Honda Civic Rebirth (Triborn) 9th Gen

Dear folks,

I am currently driving Baleno for quite sometime and thinking of changing car for better features and comfort. Thinking of buying Civic Rebirth (Triborn) 2015 model - reason being good features and luxury feel in a relatively nominal price. Thought about Altis too but it wouldn't give me a considerable change in features except auto transmission. Civic has a sense of luxury specially when it comes to interiors and drive; though it comes with high maintenance and i am afraid

Saw different videos on YouTube regarding reviews. There are two points which caught my attention and i thought to seek further opinion.

1. Is the ground clearance of Civic too low that it cannot even handle normal weight without smashing the speed breakers in Karachi?

2. Heard that Civic suspension is usually stiff compared to Corolla but is that too stiff or problematic that it deteriorates the sense of comfort? Also are there known issues with Civic suspension that it requires replacement quite often?

Would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions

I had a 2015 zero meter civic which I drove for 55k kms. Excellent vehicle and pretty under rated. Clearence is very good. A more stiffer/firmer suspension than reborn (also had that). Reborn would scrape but not Rebirth. Atleast one trip to SITE area per week. Toured Karachi to Nathiagali. Karachi to Gawadar. Karachi to Chor (interior Sindh). Karachi to Sehwan. Karachi to Hala. Did 205 kms/h on Coastal highway to Gawadar; steady as a breeze. Ofcourse, changed tires as I am doing with every new vehicle since I first bought my own vehicle from my earnings since 2006. Hope this helps

I moved to rebirth oriel 2016 from altis 1.6 2016, it was definitely an upgrade. Rebirth is a very good car for family. It has good power and suspension is well balanced. Even fuel mileage is good, for my driving style there is hardly any difference between fuel mileage of altis 1.6 and Rebirth prosmatec. It has a lot of features to ad over altis 1.6 as well. Parts are available and it is not difficult to maintain. I second the fact that it is underrated vehicle.

I have owned Rebirth 2 times and it's a great package overall considering it comes at lower price than new Swift even let alone Yaris and City.
1. Ground clearance of this model is better than Reborn and Civic X as well, never had issues of ground clearance even in full load (talking about Peshawar, Islamabad and Rawalpindi roads).
2. Suspension is stiffer than Corolla which would reduce comfort on bad patches and unpaved roads but it's very stable and feels grounded, driver feels confident at high speeds compared to Corolla which sways around here and there due to it's softer suspension. Ofcourse, a car abused and misused on bad roads would require suspension replacement earlier than another car driven on paved roads sensibly. All depends on the example you're looking at. I'd say you can find a mint condition Rebirth in Karachi for around 2.8-2.9M which is a good deal nowadays to be honest.

9.5 to 10.5 with ac easily without econ mode means you enjoy full power.

Depends on driving style and route, but definitely less than Civic with cvt. Mine would give 9-10 but then every day I would routinely do 120km/h on MaiKolachi road while going to work. Sometimes 2 or more races with banker looking blokes all having maniacal look in their eyes while wearing cotton shirts with necktie. Say, 160km/h....
