Assalamu alaikum. I want to buy a used car lahore registered and i live in multan.owner said that he has original book and open letter but original file is in excise office.and he also said that he will be responsible for each and every thing and he himself will transfer vehicle on my name.so plz guy's help me in this regard.
1-how can i verify the original file from multan.
2-can it be transferred to my name without any problem.
3-why the original owner didn't get the original file from excise office.
BTW its imported car 2005 model 800cc

I have checked the car online.each and everything is clear included lifetime token. But the main issue is original file of car

in Punjab registered vehicles if file is returned to owner then there is a stamp on registration book "Original File Returned to Owner".
if this stamp is not on registration book then it is confirm file is still in excise office.

visit the lahore excise office with owner get it transferred in your name there, obtain original file & noc for transfer to Multan excise. submit the documents to Multan excise and be at peace.

there is no way car file can be obtained before transfer, unless actual owner whose name appear on the registration book seek some help from agent & obtain file without going to lahore.

i do not see any stamp or seal of government over the document(s) -

request owner to accompany you to Lahore excise office for transfer, agree to pay the cost of commuting., if he does hanky panky and avoid to help walk away shut out the deal .

Can anyone share what original file looks like? Our old car (cuore) has "file returned to owner" stamp and all we have along with original book is a bank document because car was financed via bank.
Kindly share so i can find the file if it is missing.

this Registration doc is 100% legitimate, you will find Punjab old Reg paper is in this shape only. make the deal in a way that your money is secured and get the file Returned with new book on your name. thanks

CIA AND FIA have nothing to do with Car Registration or documents...

A simple and clear thing is if there is no stamp in the original book that means the file is in the excise office.

I bought this car back in 2012 from my first cousin. So he gives me original book of car and car is still on his name. When i asked him about the file, he said the file is in excise office as they do not return the file.

are you sure? because I don't have any stamp affixed on my registration book and the car is transferred to my name but there is a stamp which stated " number plate jari ho gai he".

Please guide.
