Original File Lost By Excise Taxation Islamabad

I have submitted documents for transfer of my vehicle, but they are taking too much time, i went twice and they postpone the delivery of my original book with transfer done, the reason they state is that my file has not yet been found with them, i have a feeling now what if they have lost my original file ? Will my car value decrease ? cux its not my fault since its registered in islamabad and in here its excise and taxation office responsibility to keep file of every car safe and sound .. There is no file return to owner in islamabad is it ?
And if the file is lost whats gonna happen ?

get them to issue duplicate with proper proof of their irresponsibility or you are screwed !

If i were you i would have given the case to their higher ups as well as to media with a copy to the concerned officer.
However, what you can do now is to write an application to Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad with a copy to the head of Excise and Taxation Department stating all what happened with the documents copies you have.

This is the highest level of irresponsibility .. Issuing duplicate will decrease the car value its 2009 corolla gli .. and its number plate is new series as well ..
I agree with you guys i will go to higher ups if this time they refused to give me my papers back with proper transfer done

y r u scaring the guy?
they lost it, they will have to replace and make a new one at the back end

i submitted my car book for transfer in isb office. on the collection day when my dad went to pick, the guy acted like he lost the book and could not find it.(actually he processed the whole transfer while my dad kept waiting)

if u submit transfer documents the zardari way, u get the book back in 2 hours stamped !

According to my short information,origional file is compulsory only for punjab registered cars not isb registered to get them transfer everytime so i think you dont have to worry about it,you should keep your book with you,thats enough.

Brother, please let us know of the outcome.. I have a Honda Civic 2006 VTI, 4th Owner.. Golden Number 003. I purchased it 2 months back and completed the formalities to get it transferred on my name.. Excise Deptt. ISB says they can't find the file in the record. They also can't find the files of 002, 004, 033 in the computer record either. NO CD, No Scanning, No record whatsoever. They've delayed delivery for 2 months dating it from 30th June to 30th August. Please let me know what happened with your case and if you ever got it sorted. And if so, what did you do. Many thanks in advance.

etny sary experts kisi ko nahee pata masly ka hall. sulimanakabarazi please help me. What was the solution of this problem. Agr next owner file check karta hy to file office main ho gee he nahee. Phir car ki resale rahy ge he nahee koi be nahee ly ga.

Dear all, same problem with my friend nowadays... Us k original book pr file retained and R/C returned to owner ki stamp lagi huwi hy, he is the 1st owner, ab us say gari may nay purchase ki aur jab transfer k lia excise office gia to pata chala ki file gayeb hy, her jaga talas kia, scan may b ni hy, aur kahi b ni mila.. 8months ho gay hain, aj kal krty huway, Plz koi help kr sakta hy ki ab ham kia karin?? kis k pas jain??
