Many of you people will be curious about its fuel consumption, so let's talk about this!!
The day i got the keys, the ODO meter was at 51 km. After taking the delivery, i filled up its tank to the full by PSO Altron (regular fuel).
The calculations can be seen in the following picture:
Ciaz has a 45 Litre gas tank, comparing it with City's 42 Litre and Corolla's 55 Litre gas tank (according to official documents). Another plus point over City but a negative point over Gli.
Overall score:
City: 0 (+0) = 0
Ciaz: 1 (+1) = 2
Gli: 0.5 (+1.5) = 2
Today (14th March,2017) the car's ODO was at 950 km with 4 refills (all full tank, 1 with PSO Altron and 3 with PSO Altron X).
After the second refill, i got the first fuel average reading which can be seen in the below picture:
At first, i was very disappointed. 8.89 km/l
!!
But then I realised that its okay because those days every one was testing the car (to check gaari bhaagne main kesi hai).
The third refill gave me some relief:
But still 11.14 km/l is not good enough. Keeping in mind that the tank was filled with PSO Altron X (Hi Octane fuel), the car was driven mostly (40% approx) on Super Highway, Liyari Expressway or on empty Shahrah e Faisal (at mid night). I was expecting at least 14 km/l.
I am not yet comparing it with City's and Corolla's fuel average because the people in my family and friend circle are still testing and enjoying the new engine. So no scrores given on fuel average.
I currently don't have the 4th refill readings (as my brother refilled it) but i will share it here as soon as i get it.
