as you know that when ever a machine /engine is made,there is a certain running life of it which is highly influenced by some factors that how you use it,which oil and filter you use and how frequently it is replaced...etc etc...(nothing new in it ,you all know).this particular engine we are talking about is a simple 4K engine 1290CC used in toyota corolla model 1982 (ke70).This engine has done 250000 KM and I am using it for last 25 years...The maintainance routene was that it never went more than 3000km in the same oil and filter was changed with every oil (only genuine but now thats not available any more so VIC).every 20,000km,plugs points and condenser.carb opened once by me in these 25 years only for cleaning...air filter replaced every 5000/7000 km(genuine was used...then...VIC.....now..guard as non availability of genuine parts).so like this it was kept with great care but I used it a lot on the highways specially from lahore to sahiwal/multan..(in a regular routine) and various places in the north(repeatedly).with a lol lot lot of load.now it started consuming a little oil but was running great.while getting the car serviced,I noticed that there are some holes in the front chassis member and lower chassis parallel member(located right below the front floor pans).
so I thought that now its time to get them repaired/replaced with the healthy metal....but that was not possible without getting the engine out.so we took the engine /gear /seats/carpets out and gave the body shell for replacement of the rusted panels (not very serious)but as per my nature could not use it after having a look at them....lol.....
