Assalamu Alikum fellow members 
I always loved road trips but always had with family, so I really wanted to have one with friends. my parents are always very much concerned for me so it was real difficult task for me to get the permission for road trip and take the car along, so I was searching for something near to Karachi and different so that the trip is short and enjoyable and I get the permission too.
In the search I found Gorakh hill to be the closest hill station which can be done with in 2 days. I have a corolla 2003 2.0D Saloon with approx. 300,000 kms on the ODO so I decided to take my corolla up there. I discussed this idea with a pakwheeler and a great friend Rameez @raftechs901 ... he also has diesel corolla indus and was willing to take up the trip and we both decided that we will take our cars to the top and not by the rented potohars, now the time started to prepare our cars and gather information of how to take up the cars there and keep necessary stuff.
I went through almost all the threads on Pakwheels about gorakh hill specially of Sir @Libra and KTG (Karachi travelers group), saw pics and videos to get an idea of how steep it is and somewhere it looked steep while somewhere it was fine, also saw few pics of corolla, civic, cultus on the top so I was even more firm to take my car as it was diesel and convinced Rameez too but when we discussed this idea with anyone they really discouraged us not to take the cars up there so I accepted it as a challenge !! Both of the cars are tuned as per the guidance of @Xulfiqar Bhai so we were considerably sure about its engine health however Rameez's car needed tyres replacement while my car needed the gear replacement, rameez got the front tyres replaced and I decided to go on with the same gear.
Hours and hours of planning on calls, long chats on WhatsApp groups, took permission from parents with the promise of keeping the car on 80kmph max speed. many friends said yes and later on backed out so had to gather more friends for the trip, to cut the story short we had 3 cars and 14 people finalized for the trip.

departure was set on next Saturday from eid which was 3rd October 2015 and returning on 4th October 2015 Sunday. plan was to go up there do BBQ, camping, star gazing, watching sunrise and enjoying long drive.
