Aspire members i ask u 1 question that today i notice that when i press accelerator pedal(not in gear)car rpm goes to 4500rpm and sudden rpm fluctuating and don't cross4500to5000rpm.is this normal in city or my car have some problem.plz tell me

your rpm needle won't cross 5000?? even when you press the accelerator to the maximum?and rpm fluctuates and car turns off?if it is the acse your car has some problem tell us in detail so that we would be able to guide you

That is perfectly normal as it is the cut out for safety of engine to avoid over rev. In neutral it is around 4500 rpm usually.
In a gear it would be just before the red line on rpm.

Bro, do not worry, it is a Safety feature, a Standing Neutral car wont go more than that rpm because it has a Revolution Limiter which does not allow to rpm go beyond this range

Rev Limiter : To Limit the Revolutions of the Engine or in simple words to limit the RPM.

Are there any performance plug option for aspire which may improve the fuel efficiency and performance?

My car is giving me 10.5 now with light foot on the accelerator and with Air Conditioning switched on for 70% of the drive. I checked the Air Filter is was quite bad so I went to Honda to get it changed. They refused giving the same excuse of not changing anything before 5000KMs. Instead they manually removed the dust and asked me to drive again till 5k. My current mileage is around 3600KM.

Is it a justified act?

Brother i change my aspire air filter at 6500km.it was very dirty(u see picture on 27th page).And my car average was drop.u can't allow air to clean it.honda guys just hit the air filter on the floor and say now its clean.Today i went lhr via GT road with new air filter at speed of 110km/h full time ac on & come home eveing with ac on.And i,m surprised to see its gives 16.2 average

I have read somewhere on this thread that at a speed of 120 kph the rpm meter of Honda city aspire 1.5L clocks around 3800, isn't it a little odd?? coz I've seen swift clocking 3100 rpm at a speed of 120 kph. Don't u guys think this may be the reason for its excessive fuel consumption?? having an engine capacity of 1500 cc, shouldn't it be doing 120 kph in around 2500 rpm???

yup
i had 1.3 as well and surprisingly 1.5 rpm is even heigher than 1.3
