Haha yes but im yet to read about the engine thoroughly. Pak suzuki literature about the engine is a shame.
They are recommending 10w40 engine oil for this car as per the yellow sticker in the engine bay.

One should never go beyond 5w30 viscosity oil for this car. Infact even my 1.8 ltre manual civic was on 5w30 too.

Haven't had any trouble in islamabad relating to ground clearance. I guess it should ace it as it does have fair amount of ground clearance.

I was using 10W40 in my Mehran 2007, I wonder why would suzuki recommend such a oil for newer engines when it should not be more than 5W30.
The only reason that comes to my mind is maybe because of +40temp in summers in most areas, 5w30 might prove to be less effective in those scrotching heat.

5w30 engine oil is ideal for pakistani conditions. these are precise engine they do not need thick oil. You fuel average gets seriously degraded aswell as the engine takes heavy load to run.

Last year when i bought new suzuki cultus i had serious argument with paksuzuki regional office and their end technical logic was sir isilyea 5w30 grade launch ker rahay hain hum and after a week they did launch 5w30 grade engine oil. now pak suzuki has even launched 0w20 grade engine oil.

I am using 5w30 in my Altis 1.6 2018 FL and i was also using 5w30 in my civic 1.8 engine which was a manual car. Do not be fooled paksuzuki has hired literate illiterates. Kehnay ko they have studied from NED karachi but baat kernay kay 5 minute mien he pata chal gaya tha just another faarmi murgi processed in pakistani university.

fuel average mien 1to 2 km ka farak hoga but cultus is also good cultus AGS

Got fuel tank to full yesterday.

From FULL to Empty car did 447km on 23 ltr of fuel.

Thats around 19.43 km/l. Local driving with 100%ac and auto mode.

Expecting it to increase after first 3000km service.

I have a small question, since this car has no parking gear, it must heavily rely on the handbrake. Now is that a conventional handbrake or one of those motorized ones, and if it's a conventional handbrake, can we leave the car in gear after parking, so that it doesn't slip down an incline incase the handbrake gives up?

Its a conventional handbrake. The car dont start until you move tbe gear from d to n. Also at neutral it is always advised to use the e-brake. Only parking the car on e-brake is safer. If your cars e-brake is weak get it fixed. When a car is parked no handbrake gives up just like that.

Only the taxi walay and madmen park the manual car on gears.

No. If you are following the thread you will know i only got first 1000km checkup 2 days ago. Car is only 1100km driven by now.

I am pretty sure this car comes with 10w40 engine oil from the assembly line thanks to ultimate jahalat of paksuzuki. Once i get to first oil change with 5w30 figures will definitely improve.

At which mileage is the first oil change recommended by Suzuki? 3000 or 5000 Kms? I do believe first oil should be changed rather earlier because a) as you pointed out they are using the wrong grade in new engine and b) because new parts are settling in and due to this, a lot of metal particles gather in this oil. What do you think?

I have seen way to many cars crash because the handbrake cable snapped. It's always good to have a little more safety then just a wire

For that, install blocks behind the rear tyres. Leaving car in gear on an incline is a big NO. You are worried cable might snap. But have you even thought what sort of stress the car will be putting on the gear box?
Please don't believe in myths. Like @hash737 said, the brake will not give up so easily and only taxi walas and madmen believe in such myths.

i have seen this image of ALTO VXL on suzuki website brochure. They have shown crome panel and spoiler on boot door but its not available on display units .. do anyone have idea about that??

Thats an extra accessory you can buy from them
