"P@K WHEELS Magazine" The fulfillments &the hopes

Dear Pak Wheelers!
Hope you all are having a bombastic time. The PAk WHEELS is going crazy and prospering with leaps and bounds.A whole lot website with considerable users and fans is the dish to be served now with the garnishing of PAK WHEELS monthly magazine!!!!!I came across the October's issue and it is fabulous.I hope you guys might have read it too.I thought of sharing each others views about this effort.
The encouraging and bright sides of the magazine were:
1. The material and stuff was interesting and catchy.
2. Printing quality was FIRE SETINGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
3. Editing and placing of all the contents reflected
professionalism.
4. Language was relatively easy and reader friendly.
5. Text and images were included in a superb blend
and proportion.
6. Useful auto informaton like vehicle prices ,thier
dealers,their contact NOS etc was included.
The points where i got myself drooped down and my spirits went low were:
1. The price tag on the forehead of the MAG was
relatively high.
2. Paper was uselessly thick and the raised quality
was aimless.
3. Overall the material was not enough to replenish
the thirst of wheel lovers.
These are the views by me and i a m interested to know what you have to say about it.

I feel thr has been a great level of effort put into making the magazine a reality
but dont think the amount of effort put in is giving the desired results........ the potentail for it to go big is thr but is not properly catered to

sir i already have on the original thread for the magazine issues
i personally think that the launch was quite premature
but now that it is done cant do anything about it
the main point to note is the magazine paper quality is exceptional but its very poor on articles
thr are alot of spelling and gramitacal errors in the magazine
thr is lack of proof reading and so on
alot of other suggestiuons have also been put on the mazaine theads do check that post out

Well i'll only say that the reason being is that none of us who run the magazine show are professionals in terms of journalism.. only a bunch car freaks

so we are always open to suggestions and help from people all across the globe, but not everyone is putting his foot forward to help us.. that's little sad! so I guess more & more people should help in building it, I know it will take time.. slow & steady..

Good luck with the mag!.Just keep at it.Try to get a publishing house involved.That may help with the distribution aspect.Anything i can do to assist, i will be glad to!.

@Jag and other members contributing to magazine

Its a great effort and despite the fact that you are not some "pro's" its flow, quality of content and distribution of space is admirable.

For suggestions: Do consider internet for topics, technical reviews and general discussions.
This will improve the slight lag of content quality especially the interviews, reviews and communicating technical information.
Do inculde market trends and surveys (pakwheel poll can be a help regarding this)

Finally, I distributed the magazine copies to few of fellow colleagues in print media and typical social circles and to my surprise every one was astonished to see a national web base magazine with so much enthusiasm. So keep your spirits high

I shall try to contribute (when i'll be getting some time)

@kizzi, well there are no such guidelines, everyone knows how to contact me.. just drop me an email with what is your expertise and i'm sure we can work something out.

@nickatnite, distribution is no issue... everymonth we are always short of copies.. since all of them are sold out! so you can imagine it's selling like hot cakes due to resonably priced!

@BornToRide, we do consider internet and other various magazines, but you know people who are actually into this field deep down are those who can't read/write, so translating what they want to say into another language by a journalist who is not very keen on auto's.. makes it a whole mess sometimes hehe. To be honest, whoever see's the magazine is really impressed. A friend of mine visited my house and said how do get these "PakWheels" internaional magazine shipped to karachi is'nt that expensive.. he thought it was US/UK magazine i ordered.. kinda surprised to see it's a local publication.

Szuberi would do a great job proof reading for a 49% stake in PakWheels. He's from Queens university You're not only getting a spell checker, you're getting tomorrow's leader.

BTW- Sack whoever does your interviews. The questions are so mechanical. What is your name? What colour is your car? Interviews should be conversations, not surveys. Add some dept to the interviews and you'll get more information about the person who you're interviewing.

lol..thanks anonpak..nah i dont want any steak whatsover. i just found lots of spelling errors (my name in my DIY article included) so i am just saying that i can go through a draft copy to for its spelling and grammatical accuracy. i was in the eiditng team of my uni magazine as well.
