You do know that the 2 pin connector is only a switching short - one pin is body ground and one pin goes to the ECU which when shorted (hence grounded) tells it to pulse 12V -ve to the Check light pin, this pulsing causes the light to flash and the "human reader" to count the flash sequence and conclude the number. That number corresponds to a coded error. In your case a VSS signal missing/out of range would be 17
The pin going to the ECU does not have any sort of digital signal or even an analog pulsed signal.... Its very very fishy by any stretch of the imagination.
Talk about rip offs - I wonder how many of his kind exist in Pakistan, can you share the name of the shop here so people dont ever go there.
