P1705 transmission Exi prosmatec

I scanned my ecu and all and got this code. Attaching a picture for reference. Any idea how much it costs?

Another issue i faced some time ago on long route, was that after travelling 80-90kms, when i released the brakes and accelerated the car, it felt very heavy, as if it didn't downshift and rpm was going till 3000-4000 but car was unable to pickup speed. Is this related to the code?

this means the ECU doesnt know the position of the gear stick, probably the sensor is either drowned with water or battery acid - both which kill it.

Its the triangle shaped sensor on the edge of the transmission where the manual valve (selector cable) is attached to. First check that if its out of adjustment (all indications should light up properly on dashboard and also reverse lights) - then check wiring for corrosion and breaking. The sensor is not that expensive and quite easy to replace too.

Okay. I'll jack up the car tomorrow and check it myself first. Also, sir, gear D aur D3 main chala jata hai, but 2 main nahi jata. Any possible cause of this issue?

Your sensor is bad I think, or the wiring on connector is broken (diesel spray service also does this)
