I've been trying to find a page consolidated of car price hike that we've witnessed over the last couple of years.
If it doesn't exist, may I suggest having one created at Pakwheels that shows each make model with the price hike since 2020 or 2021 to date? With recent price hikes happening every now and then, it's hard to keep track. I would also like to suggest adding a US Dollar amount on each hike as well.
Say for example:
Hyundai Sonata 2.5:
Launch (5th July 2021) Rs7,099,999 (USD 44,885 at Rs158.18 per USD)
Jan 1st 2022 Rs7,299,000 (USD 41,351 at Rs176.51 per USD)
Feb 1st 2022 Rs7,799,000 (USD 44,204 at 176.43 per USD)
July 1st 2022 Rs 8,499,000 (USD 41,625 at Rs204.18 per USD)
Now Rs 8,499,000 (USD 37,145 at Rs228.80 per USD)
This means despite the increase in price, the car costs less now per USD than it did at launch.
This would be good to see how often car companies change car prices and if the price is decreasing per USD vs those who are keeping it equal or those who are evil to actually increase the price over the USD price.
We can easily get the USD interbank rate from SBP Twitter page on any specific date. They tweet the USD every day.
Would it be possible to have such a page created that lists out every car available for sale in Pak (there are only a handful anyway).
