Paint Job-Trunk-Nissan Sunny B13

Posting after a long long time.

The Story begins like, I visited Bilal Gunj and incidentally found a very nice piece of Nissan Sunny Super Saloon B13 trunk. It had original spoiler with it, the light of which was in working condition. But there were some deep scratches on it. Got the trunk and got it fit there.

Today, I got time and went to my denter/painter, first denter fixed the diggi, the pictures of which I did not take. Then painter started his job.

Some of the pictures for you. Comments and suggestions are welcome :P.

After applying the regmar and removing previous paint base, now the painter is applying some potein on the spoiler.

There were only two small dents on the diggi, and these were such that if we would try to remove the dents, the original silicon with which the diggi is attached with the inner layer, which gives firmness to its structure, separate, so we decided to fill them with potein since they were really small. You can spot one on the lower side and one in the middle of the trunk.

The dent on the center of the diggi, covered with potein though i hate potein, as you can see, there is only potein on the spoiler mostly for its shaping. Rest of the diggi is like mirror straight.

After applying the potein, ragrai was once again done, and done extensively.

And the lower side ragrai also done.

And preparation for applying astar. Applying akhbar to protect the sides.

Monogram also covered, as it was original, so decided not to putt it off.

And the painter is preparing Astar.

And unfortunately, lost all battery of my mobile, through which i was taking pictures, therefore I left for home, also for some work and in the meanwhile, the painter painted and applied Lacquer, the pictures of the final product, i will upload tomorrow

you should make double sure that your air has got zero moisture in it before painting.. - that little compressor does not have a globe valve on it

Yups bro, actually I was trying to hide scratches, so selected a normal painter. Let's see the results

Obviously the paint will not match as the original paint is dull and faded after so many years. I would suggest go for a total repaint on the outer side, would give a complete fresh look.

n20ahsan, arslan_malik123 kia yaar samajhdar ho ker aesi batain kertay ho aap log. obviously paint match nahi hoga, digie k elava color looks quite genuine to me coz i can see fade on side of mudgards....

poster bhayya dont mind ,, mashallah bht lush gari hey yeh nissan my frnd kept this car for couple of days it is quite aound and comfi yaar mashallah.

n keep it orignal, jab tak zarurat na peray dont do paint job.

new cars rekhnay walo ko kahaa andaza hoga humari purani cars ka lolx.... they just need shine.

Brother you are right. But I have not matched the color with the whole surrounding. Illudude is 100%. The paint of the vehicle itself is badly faded. It has turned into greywish. And the fact is that, the original color of the car is in dark bluish shade, as the diggi is reflecting. We have tried to match this paint with the paint of pillars, which is 100% genuine. Though I don't claim that it matched 100%, but still very close and very better than the greyish color the whole car is reflecting.

As far as whole paint job is concerned, there were two reasons for the paint of diggi and that is 1st there were many many scratches on the spoiler and diggi when i bought it from bilal gunj and secondly I wanted to check how the car looks in its original color, but did not have enough budget to spray it as a whole, so instead of spraying it half or other, I decided to paint just one piece, I knew it would not match with the surroundings i.e. fender, but I wanted it.

And I also convinced the painter very hardly on this job as he was not willing to paint it in this color instead he was saying that we match the diggi with surroundings and when I decide to spray the whole car, then we will spray it with original, but I was insisting to spray the diggi in original color
