Hey guys,

I'm being offered a fairly alright condition 1986 5 door Pajero in Islamabad. The engine has been recently overhauled and the drive was very smooth. I have recently moved back to Pakistan after 8 approximately in Islamabad. The vehicle has the old ID series number on it, file is duplicate and is on open letter. The current owner doesn't know the original person whose the vehicle is on. I've been told it will be a hassle to get it transferred and get new number plates, I don't want any legal issues. Can any member suggest, what can be done if I buy the vehicle.

buying a lemon on wheels just for show sha
something that old wld require regular workshop visits
gets it on your name through bribes would cost a fortune

i would rather buy a clean efi mehran
instead of this

Its about perspective rather than 'sho sha'. I like going for off roading and wanted a restoration project. Will look for a different jeep now. Mehran Efi is good, I sat in it once, the ac was good. You should definitely go for it.

As for Documents, I would advise to stay away from the vehicle It's trouble. Islamabad has many good SUVs available at all times. What's your target budget?

I bought one last. 1990 petrol version with an automatic transmission. No open letter issue. Fun car to drive.
